Just a note to say howdy and introduce myself.
I am Scott Henderson. I have played steel for about 23 years and I am currently employed at Lee Mace's Ozark Opry in Osage Beach,Missouri. I'm a sit down guy and have been for 16 of the last twenty years.
I play a JCH d-10 and I also own an old Dekley U-12, which was my #1 guitar for 11 years. Don't know if I am allowed to plug my web site so I'll wait. Anyway enough talk.Time to go put on the tux and do some pickin. Look forward to meeting several folks around the forum.

Welcome to this GREAT forum, Scott.
As a matter of fact, I belive that it is permissible on your "webby". Looking forward to seeing it. Nothing like a "sit-downer" at the Theater. |

Welcome Scott, I believe the Lee Mace Show was what lit a fire under my Dad to make the move from bedroom singer to the stage many years ago. |

Thanks for all the info on the webber thang.
Lee Mace's is located in Osage Beach Missouri which is about 30 miles west of Jefferson City on Highway 54. Basicly in the center of the state on, as the guy with the big radio voice says, "on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks." (2hrs west of st louis and 2 hrs northeast of Branson.
Yes sit down gigs are cooolll!!! This is my 3rd. I played in the Oklahoma panhandle for 11 years and in Wichita Kansas for 5 years.
I was getting kind of tired of the clubs so I'm really diggin the theatre life.
Mr Cobb, who's your dad? And did you know a Jimmy Russell from the Chanute area? I played with him in Wichita. Great player, great guy! Thanks again guys

Scott, good to hear you are playing steel on the OZARK OPRY. If Mrs Mace [Joyce] has any of the older group photos around there, you might look for one that had another steel player on there some years back that you are probably familiar with, Mr. Buddy Carter. Have a great time playing the opry this summer. Dan Hoff |

Yes,
they told me Mr.C used to play here.
in fact they gave me his old suit but it didn't fit...I'm 6"4" hahahaha just kidding.
I look at it this way. I first saw the fine art of "entertaining" from Lee Mace when Iwas a boy and find it ironic that this is my first theater gig. Did you all know our show was the first six night a week show in the whole USA. I'm kind of a retro guy and am honored to be a part of this show...come see us sometime.
