I feel I must publicly acknowledge the incredible job these two gentleman performed at the recent Grand Rapids Show. This year the "House Band" was tighter than ever, due in a large part to Ben and Roy. Also I would like to thank our Drum "Crew", Dan Crampton,Bubba Grunder, and Don E. Curtis, a great Steeler in his own right. Thanks again, F.R.

My sentiments exactly.
Ben and Roy are clearly 'best in class' -- both as musicians and as people. Same goes for the 'drum section' and, while I'm at it, the 'guitar section' (which IS FRANK).

The GR show continues to be a model for how to staff a house band for a smaller show. Having really strong local musicians (like Frank and Danny Crampton) and augmenting with others of the class of Ben and Rosie works really well.

Thanks to Frank, LT, and Evelyn for keeping the GR show going.

Ben, Roy, Dan and Frank were the four corner stones for the weekend. They were fantastic and held it all together.

I didn't know Ben could rap that well! Or....whatever that was.

Ben has been a dear friend for many, many years and we played in several bands and studios together. A great player and extremely cool cat. I'm still a huge fan!

Although I've never officially met Roy, he is a great player also. I listened to him at the Dallas show this year. It's difficult enough to fall into whatever the soloist decides to do and do a good job, but he and Ben both did it with flair and style.

They are both true assets to our community.

Mike, as a matter of fact, when I saw Ben a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I'd been hearing his work for years. When I told him the first time I'd heard him was on your DOI album -- he was amused that I remembered who the BASS player was. But I completely agree that Ben's a mind reader, as are Roy and the others mentioned. Now we need to get YOU up here for one of our April soirees -- any chance?

I agree. Roy and Ben are fine musicians with "big ears." It is a pleasure to work with both of them.

A warm "thanks" to Frank Rogers and to each of you for the kind things you have said about me and my buddy, Ben Brogdon. It's always very humbling and rewarding to hear or read comments like these, especially when they come from those whom we consider our "fellow musicians and peers".
I know Ben is not a member of this forum, but I feel like I can speak for him also, when I say, that we both try to do our very best to support every steel guitarist with the kind of support that he or she will be confortable with so as to enable each of them to do their very best while performing.
Once again I say "thanks" to each of you from both of us. We look forward to seeing, visiting and working with as many of you as possible at the many steel shows that we are privileged to be a small part of, individually and together.
Warmest Regards,
.....Roy
