This guy looks like Smiley Roberts, but he appears to be wearing a NEW t-shirt!!!
Seriously, Smiley did a terrific job Friday night. Can't figure out why he was so nervous!

Smiley turned in a fine performance. I loved the sound of his Sho Bud. In fact, when he was playing a blusey number his tone reminded me so much of Jimmy Day. Smiley sure impressed me!

| My wife and I got to Dallas just in time to hear Smiley's set. His first tune was Tammy, one of my wife's favorites. It got the whole show off to a great start for us. Smiley did an excellent job. Great tunes. And I really enjoyed his tribute to Pete Drake with the talking steel guitar and all. Very fine indeed. |

WOW! Thanx gang! I REALLY appreciate the kind words,even though I forgot to pull TWO of my knee levers down before I started playin'! How embarrassing!! B4 I forget,I wanna thank the TSGA,& Louie Hallford for allowing me to perform at their convention.
The band was WONDERFUL!! These guys are the most hardest-working pros on the circuit. Roy Rosetta must COLLAPSE after one of these deals. He was hardly ever off that stage. Paul Polish was running a close 2nd to Roy in that dept.
BTW,looking at that pic above,I must've had too much to drink Thur. night,& entered some sort of contest. I don't recall what kind it was,but I must've done pretty good. As y'all can see,I took the "first prize" blue ribbon!!   |
