Looking to purchase a Kline Universal preferably keyless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

All Klines are keyless. Good luck finding one. The people who own them don't want to part with them. I sure wish I wouldn't have sold my D10.

Kline guitars can still be bought, but you will have to contact Rick Troyer at Hummingbird music studios in Sugarcreek Ohio, I think Joe Kline is still building them, but they are Formica guitars instead of wood lacquer, I hear they are still pretty good.

I have played Winnies Kline, a well built fine sounding instrument, although the underside is a little unusual...IP

The underside may be a bit unusual but the pedal action is smooth and my Kline S12U is THE most stable guitar I've owned in my 17 years playing steel. I've gone over 2 months without popping a string and I hardly spend any time having to tune it, and once they're adjusted you don't have to mess with them again. If you like changing your tuning alot I wouldn't get one. They're up there with ZBs for not being user friendly.

Good luck Larry! I hope you find one.

Thanks Dave - Pedal action is a biggie!! for me. Recently bought a U12 (nameless at this point) that is nice in every way but the pedal action leaves a lot to be desired. I'm hoping the Kline would better suit me. It's one guitar that I've never played however.
