This question is for Rick. I have a '39 Rickenbacker and it seems that the high strings have more volume than the lower strings. I tried adjusting the hight of the horseshoe but there is no change. Is this normal or is it a candidate for a remag?

Send them to me ... I haven't seen a set yet that didn't "enjoy a jolt" ...
If there is a big enough discrepancy between the two magnets ... I recommend that folks putting the stronger of the two on the bass side.
I'll mark the stronger one ... "B" for bass.
There are instructions for removing the magnets here
Email me ... and I'll send you my address.
