I had the pleasure of going to a Gene Watson concert, man,,,was he ever great,, he did song after song for about one and one half hrs. The road band was super, with Corky Owens on steel, what a great steel man. Got to meet Corky and Had a nice visit before and after the show with him. Corky is a super nice guy, great steeler, if you have the oppertunity to catch a show of Gene Watson, and Corky on steel, you are in for a real treat.
Thanks Corky for the nice visit we had.

Hey, Corky I noticed on a flyer that Gene is going to be in Pigeon Forge, TN soon. Do you know anything about that date and will you be working it? Also, to you know how long of a concert Gene will be doing? I beieve it is at the Southern Nights theater. Thanks and hope to see you there.

Hey, Bob. I don't remember an e-mail, but it could have been while I was on the road for 3 weeks. My wife could have told me then deleted it thinking I would remember. Maybe I should write a note to myself. Anyway, I'm sorry and promise to do better next time. George, we worked that job last weekend. maybe we'll be out that way again soon. And our show is normally around 75 to 90 minutes, according to the venue. Corky.

Yeah, I am used to being a day late and a dollar short, but this time I was 8 days late and a lot more than eight dollars short. As they say, will catch him down the road. I was in Pigeon Forge the last weekend in August and just remembered a flyer stuck up somewhere. Sorry I didn't write the date down or call Southern Nights Theater to confirm the date.
