Hi all,

Forgive me fellow formites if this is not the right place for this question.
I have a very clean old Fender 6 string lap steel, titanium yellow, # 423, in the original tweed case, and wonder how or where I can learn the value of it. I've had it since the mid '70s and just don't play it much any more, mostly pedal. Sorry no photos yet. I'm in the SF Bay area.

No, mine is squared off, not rounded and has a light tweed case.

After talking with Peter on the phone, it appears as if he has a Fender Deluxe 6.

Denny's pictures are of the eight string variety of this guitar, the Deluxe 8. I have one of these and they're great sounding instruments.

Many thanks to Brad Bechtel, who took the time to talk with me on the phone and identify my guitar. You are a gentleman and a scholar to boot. Thanks as well to all that responded.

Victor,

Oops, that would be helpful. My guitar is a Fender Deluxe 6, from the early 50s.

There have been a few that sold recently on Ebay. There's one running now. Probably $700 would be an average price.
