Well, what can I say. Mike found me and introduced himself and was a truly nice guy. He let me use his 60's Standel which I fell in love with and then got up there and played with a tone to die for. I would love to hear Mike on a good country gig. If you get a chance, go see Mike play. I'd go see him play just to see him warm up. Corky.

Corky: Several players here in central GA swear by Mike. One in particular Eddie Thomas, should be the president of the Mike Cass Fan Club. If I get to Nashville I certainly intend to give him a visit.

Regards, Paul

Hey, Paul. You won't regret seeing Mike in person. Bring a tape recorder because he will play some stuff you'll want on tape. He has a very nice touch. I wish I'd had a tape recorder to record his warm-up. Corky.

Mike's got a gig with Ray Price on August 30 in Wisconsin. If I wasn't going to be at the convention, I'd have to go see the show.
Mike will be coming to the convention on Saturday.

Ernie, do you have the particulars for the show in WI. Can't make the convention but maybe I could run over to see Mike. I took a few lessons from Mike when he was living in the Twin Cities & hangin' around the Pedal Steel Guitar Emporium. He came out to hear our group and sat in couple times and played Kaposia Days (So.St.Paul) with David Allan Coe. Got some old photos from that. Mike's a great person, player, and rebuilder!

Corky negleced to mention the great tone he got, so im doing it for him & btw,it wasnt just the amp Gene & his band knocked me out! I was jealous as hell when they launched into "Take Me as I Am". Just like the record & big as all get out!
I appreciate the kind words fellas, but Kevin, I dont remember the gig with Coe....but I was pretty
well sauced back in them days
I was proud for both Tanya & Gene @ the Texas H.O.F.induction gig...surely they are both most deserving of that honor.
I'll hate to miss Buddy on friday, but you dont say no to RP if you can help it.
See y'uns on Saturday....mc

Hey, Mike. Wish I could be there to hear you play with Price. Got to love those Price songs and I know that's your kind of gig. Hope to work together again soon. Take care. Corky.
