Far as I know, Steve Wilkerson is still playing with the Whites. Great picker...plays the fire out of the 6 string too.
I have edited some added remarks that seemed unrelated to this topic.

Steve Wilkerson. Boy, haven't the Whites had all-star pickers over the years! |

I agree, Steve's playing sounded GREAT! Very tasteful stuff indeed. Plus they actually put the camera on his hands during his solo (as many times the camera is wandering around during the steel solo like they can't figure out where that sound is coming from)! |

The White's segment was the only BRIGHT SPOT on the Opry, IMHO. |

For a nice change we actually heard some "Traditional Country". The female singer's voice was very much like Dolly Parton in the ealy years. (I.M.H.O.) Especially on "Crazy Arms", I thought she did well. AND some nice steel work. |

That would have been Elizabeth Cook. Does anybody know the steel players name that played with her? Sure reminded me of the late and great Jimmy Day's style.

Jerry,
That was Carco Clave on steel with Elizabeth Cook. Carco posts on here every once in a while. Nice sunburst P/P. |

Michael, does Mr. Clave tour with Ms. Cook? Who does steel of her recordings? Mr. Clave did a good job, IMO, look forward to hearing more from him. |
