Dennis the last time I saw Steve, Alan Love was playing steel. He's been with him for at least 10 years. I've known Steve for almost 30 years and he's one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He is very loyal to his musicians and lets them shine on stage. Alan can shine with the best.

We did a job with Steve last year. Alan was a very pleasant fellow. He came and sat off to my side of the stage and listened to me play during our show and was very gracious.
His playing was impeccable.

I saw Steve Wariner at Cowtown in San Jose in the early or mid 80's and Alan was with him then.

Alan Love was with Steve the times I did a job with them. Alan is a great player and does some awesome dobro work too. Steve and his band is the nicest bunch of folks you will ever meet. Steve Wariner is in my top 5 of most unrecognized artists.

This post got me to pull out my SW greatest hits LP from the 80s. Lots of great tunes... back when the music was allowed to breathe. Some Fools Never Learn has some pretty steel on it. Nice and exposed.

I saw Allyn Love a few months ago, and he told me that he has stopped playing steel professionally...he is indeed a very nice man and a great picker.
