As of today ...
I will no longer take orders for my cast aluminum "Pans" ... until after the HSGA Convention in October.
Because of recent acquisitions ... a second furnace and a set of high quality "Mothers" (via Terry Farmer) ...
I will be busy this summer gettin' my new models made and finished ... to take to the convention.
These particular ones will be offered for sale at the Convention ... and future orders will taken there after.
Of course I will finish these 5 ...
And fill my waiting list orders ...
But I want to devote the "all important" summer months to building up my inventory .... and making these show pieces.
The new models will be:
A newly designed 6 string 22.5" Dustpan
A 6 string 25.5" Dustpan
A 7 or 8 string 22.5" Dustpan
A 7 or 8 string 25.5" Dustpan

A 10 string 22.5" Dustpan
A 10 string 25.5" Dustpan
* The "A" will be cast empty ... for the slotted tuning machines
A 6,7 or 8 String Headless Dustpan
*Design Courtesy of Terry Farmer ... his personal "Shorty" will be cast this Sunday from this "Mother" ...
Hmmm ... Mother's Day
And last but certainly not least ...
The Boobpan
A 25.5" & 22.5" combo Double Neck 6,7 or 8 string Dustpan.
All of the above will be equipped with MRI pickups.
So ... between these "Show Pans" ... and Jason Lollar's magnet orders ...
I've been workin' on these for the last two weekends ... 5 pairs 1.25" bass horseshoes, 4 sets of 1.5" MRIs, 2 sets of 1.25" MRIs & a set of 1.5" horseshoes ... I'll finish them Saturday.
Its gonna be a busy and HOT summer.

Rick, congratulations on the new line-up. It's very ambitious, but you're the man who can do it… and the Boobpan had me laughing… but it's a great idea: having both scale lengths in one guitar. |

Terry Farmer has already made most of the "Mothers" ... and they are just downright impressive !!!
So much so ... my wife gave me the official "okie-dokie" for that second furnace and extension collars ... so I could cast these big rascals.
As far as the Boobpan ... Mike Neer helped me alot with the design. His suggestions were "up-lifting"
It'll weigh in at around 20 lbs ... if cast in aluminum.
Bronze ... it'll be over 80 lbs ...
I had the idea for the two scales ... cause I wanted a 25.5" neck for most of my playin' ... but also wanted to slant abit down below the 5th fret ...
So I'll tune both necks to C6/A7 on mine ... of course, most will want two tunings ... |

A man with a plan
to build a better pan
and put in the hands
of a happy steeler man.
Great looking line up.
The Boobpan certainly seems the offspring
of some mothers
of your Invention. |

David's a poet and don't know-it ...
Hee, hee ...
Just in from Terry F. ... he said I left out a couple ...
A Double 25.5" ... both necks (6,7 or 8 strings) ...
&
A Double 22.5" ... both necks (6,7 or 8 strings) ...
He's full of surprises ...

Speaking of the HSGA convention ...
I just remembered ... ... that late, late ... final evening jam when it was just Gerald R., Dave G., Bill L., Howard R. and me.
We were all noddin' off with ... and I mentioned that "Battle of the Bands" scene in Cheech & Chong's movie ...
They didn't remember it ... I sang the song (ouch) ... they still didn't remember it ...
So this year ... Gerald, Dave, Bill and Howard ... I expect you to know it

Hi Rick!! The "Pandemonium Continues"!! In my 52 yrs. of life,I've seen a lot of neat things. It would take a lot of beers & a lot of philosophizing to say what I want to say, but I know most of you know.Being the newbie here this is all new to me,so it is awesome!!One thing that excites me, outside of myself,is all these cool people who move the world ahead in their own way.Rick,I hope the pandemonium keeps on flowing like a hot batch of aluminum......Soundhound |

Rick, in the first photo, you have something that you made out of black pipe...a couple of threaded nipples and a reducing coupling attached to a hose. What's that for? Also there's a piece of brass something on the coupling, what is that? |

Well, since you asked ... I'm "brainstorming" ...
Trying to figure out how to tell my major stock holders (Chrissy, Ellie, Emmie and Big Dust) ...
That I need a third furnace ... to fill the Double-long Dustpan 8 (25.5" / 25.5").
2 gallons ain't gonna do it ...
I used the old cliche ...
