In a thread I started a couple of weeks ago about "Top ten Steel Instrumentals" there must be 75 songs different people posted.
Has anyone thought about doing a fake book showing the Chord changes to these songs? Or is it something we shouldn't be thinking about. I'm not talking about lead lines. Simple the proper chord changes in the right measures. Or Does one Exist... I truely think there's a small market for such a beast...

A fake page might be enough, as they all go pretty much the same. |

Ernest, I guess I asked for that.... I realize they all go pretty much the same... But it's kind of odd that when a steeler performs at the shows they have sheets the back up band can read (Maybe). I would make life a whole lot easier if there was a reference. That's all I was getting at. You may know the 75 tunes, I don't, if fact less then 10 percent. I play both 6 string and Bass pretty good.. But when someone drags out an old one and half the group doesn't know it it really dosn't sound all that good...

I was just kidding around. Actually I realize that these steel guiatr tunes are hard to fake if you don't know them. It's a lot easier to fake a jazz standard. |
