Duane,
Tim Hamilton is at Cowboys in Kennesaw about 30 minutes north of Atlanta up I-75. I will be at Scooters in Helen, Ga which is about an hour and a half north of Atlanta in the mountains. That might be too far for you but it's a nice little tourist town with lots to do if interested. I'm sure there are others and maybe they will post here soon.

Duane, Tommy Dodd has a absolute MONSTER
group he's playing with in Atlanta. They play the VFW circuit. Email him at tommyd@mindspring find out if he's working
this weekend. There is a 20 y/o singer that
can sing everything from Jack Green to Vince Gill and all points between. And what can you say, Tommy does a MIDI Steel on SEVERAL songs that is out of this world. I hope it works out.

Tommy Dodd is indeed an incredible steel guitar player. I would rate him among the most knowlegable and great players of our era. IF you get a chance to hear him play you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

He is also closely aligned with the Zum steel's owner named Bruce Zumsteg. If you have any questions about this guitar, contact Tommy. You can find his email address by doing a searh function on this forum.

And while we are on it, Gaylon Mathews is also a very fine PSG player. He has a beautiful touch. The band he plays in is top notch. They also have a singer that I could listen to ALL night long.

Tim Hamilton is awesome as a young PSG protege' whose licks sound JUST like the sounds on the new "so-called" country recordings. He is very good.

God bless you,

carl

Carl,
The 20 year old with Tommy is Brad Williams. (He's now 25) Follow the link below and click on "Crazy Arms" and you can download this song that was recorded live when he played with Darrin Robbins at Whisley River in Macon. GREAT SINGER!!

For original americana music the Blue Jays are playing at Smith's Olde Bar on Piedmont Avenue and Monroe near the Ansley Mall Friday the 14 th. Their current steel player is Henry Bruns. they open for one of the hottest bands from Atlanta The Cigar Store Indians. Plus you don't need to travel out of town.

Its address is: 1578 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta, GA
