This week, I played my steel in church for the first time. I don't say this to pat myself on the back...but to say thanks for all the great advice I have received from the forum. I applied lots of tips (keep it simple, know when to play and not to play, lay off the volume pedal, concentrate on good pitch, etc) for my first time out. It all came from those of you who share your experience and wisdom that helped me get to this point in months rather than years. Even after years of guitar playing, I have never had more fun as a musician than hearing steel with a band and realizing that I was playing it. It was a moment to remember. God bless all the great players who make this forum work like it does! THANK YOU!
