The songs: "Choo Choo Choo-Boogie" and "Skyliner"....most likely the Manhatten Transfer.
Is that THE Mr. EMMONS? Or, somebody else?
Really need to know. Thanx. |

I'm pretty sure that Buddy did record with Manhattan Transfer, but I have never heard it. |

Ray - I have that CD. It is Manhattan Transfer. The album is called "Swing" and yes, it is Buddy Emmons on steel. Great CD. Not a whole lot of steel, but a great CD.

Ray,
Buddy is on "Skyliner" but the cut of "Choo-Choo" is from an old T.N.N. series that Ricky Scaggs hosted that was filmed at the Ryman here in Nashville. The steel on that cut is Steve Hinson.
If you listen you can tell the difference.
Mike
P.S. I didn't mean that in a bad way because they both play great just different. |
