Anyone know why Bobbe's website won't come up. I get the famous 404 error.

I'm sorry boys, I was about as clear as mud with the first post. Its the steelguitar.net site that won't come up. Bobbe, I would count the total days your store site is down and not pay earthlink for the service. IMHO

OK guys, just found out what the trouble is, After dealing with Earthlink for six years, they have lost our account numbers and can't find where they ever did business with us. They have no records of us and don't know who we are. Do you think it would be a good time to change companys??? Will I do! AND we will be down for a couple days 'till we can find another server. Please don't ever think this company(earthlink) will ever give you any kind of service but bad. Wonderful time of year for this kind of problem, huh?

Not good timing at all. I'm glad I did my shopping early. But we can always phone you. Those still work. Plus its aways great to here your voice or the voice of that sweet thing that works there with ya.
Happy Holidays,

Yeah, I just dumped Earthstink. Double billing problems, not very gald to help take care of the problem. Unfortunately, I had to have an ISP quick, so I used an A-OH-HELL (AOL) free offer until I found a better one. Now my wife likes A-OH-Hell and I'm going to have a fight on my hands to change.

I had Earthlink, when I was on dial-up. It worked great (and no billing problems) until they bought Mindspring. From that point on it was downhill. I looked into DSL via Earthlink and gave up. Their support center, which was run by the Mindspring shop would take an hour on hold to get to talk to them (several times) and sales was over 30 minutes. I decided I didn't need Earthlink anymore for my ISP.
Goi figure, Earthlink and Mindspring were rated the top two in customer service but they merge and go to crap.
FWIW, PeoplePC uses Earthlink for dial-up access. PeoplePC sucks too, my daughter's husband works for Ford and they got a crappy HP PC from Ford and have to use PeoplePC. |
