I happened to see today on ABC's "The View",the Backstreet Boys were on. Normally I'd say, Yuk! But, today I heared them perform a new song, I think the name of it was "Keep Me Drowndin' In Your Love"? I wasn't really paying any attention to it,____ UNTIL! Yes, the sweet tone of a pedal steel guitar! Can anyone tell me who played on this song? They didn't have the band there, just backup CD. This song made me look at the Backstreet Boys in a whole new perspective. Using pedal steel guitar was a good move for them. I really never cared for that kind of music, but the pedal steel did at least make that song more appealling to me. Couldn't find a definitive answer on the web, but, if I had to guess from the clues I found, I'd say Larry Campbell.

The Backstreet Boys make you say "Yuk" (gosh, you must really hate them). But you watch The View. Hmmm |

I'm sure the BOYS had nothing to do with psg on their song. I'd imagine they didn't notice what the instrument was. Just my suspicion. Some producer may have had a bright idea, tho'. Kudos to that person. |
