Thanks to Stephen O'brien; The live performance of Dale Watson and his Lonestars from the Grand Ole Opry; is now Online right here at>MightyFineMusic.com
For those who missed it(like myself); you can now see and hear it; as I promised.
You must have Windows Media Player(which most do) for it to work.
Enjoy; as I did.

Ricky,
Thanks. This is some great music. I just bought the CD and it is wonderfully inspired. I was just strolling through Best Buy and there it was. I had to have it. Too bad you couldn't have played all 14 tunes at the Opry.

Ricky, Real nice.

It's funny to see grey hair on Dale. I think I've got some pix around here, from when he was plaing at "The Office" in Pasadena. (I think that was the name of the place.)Black hair, buttondown shirts, no Tats.etc. LOL I've gotta find them pix.

Hey Ricky, that clip was great!! I loved it wish there was more like it on the air all the time. BTW how much did you have to pay them to do all those great shots of you when you were pickin? Most of the time they show a fiddle player or even worse the bass player while the steel picker is playin. Just wondering

Yes, that clip had some great shots of Ricky's animated playing, but for some reason I am unable to get the sound.

Reminded me of a situation I encountered once when after my turnaround on a "live" show there was a camera malfunction and I remained "on camera" while the singer sang the entire last verse and chorus of the song.

There was no studio audience and not noticing the light on my camera, I sat there completely unaware with my hands in my lap yawning & scratching and looking bored.

It was a valuable lesson that I've never forgotten...when cameras are running always conduct yourself as if you are in the picture. www.genejones.com

Hey thanks everybody for looking at it again; and for those that didn't get to see it live, I'm glad there is an opportunity for you to see it. I'm not sure about any of the difficulties folks may have with the Audio or video; I'm running Win95 here at the house and WMP don't play it too good here; but my Laptop Win98 is just fine...you might try upgrading the Windows Media Player to the lastest version(they won't let me cause I'm Win95....ha).
It was one of my most very treasured nights. I got to hang with Tommy White most the evening. I got to walk right up to Connie Smith and finally tell her "You are my favorite Woman Country singer of all time". I got to meet Weldon Myrick and tell him "you are the reason I play steel guitar"; and we got to play our music, our way.
As for the camera shots ...well I did pay dearly....but I think the ShoBud gets most the credit...and I did scratch and yawn; but I always knew where the camera was... ...that's a funny one Gene.
So enjoy the Video; and just know...that was "ALL" my dreams come true, in one night.

Hey Stephen.....my brother.....I was not nervous at all this time. I got to tell you that hangin' out and gabbin' with Tommy White and Johnny Cox...and all the others around there during all the sets...just relaxes you quite a bit. Tommy is such a good friend and really makes you feel at home there; and that is price-less.
Thanks Johan for the nice words pal..and me and my Sho~bud "WILL" see you over there in a few weeks....looking forward to it.
Ricky
