Hi everybody,
I too have been reading a lot of stuff on the Forum for awhile now and finally decided to jump in. I've been playing off & on about 25 years (unfortunately mostly off for 25 years) but I'm here to stay now! Thanks for letting me in.

Jack, Great to have you on the forum. You said that you have been playing steel for 25 years 'on and off', mostly 'off'.....by the looks of your new Emmons III, I would say you are holding back just a little bit. Anybody that orders ANY steel that has '9&9' is either ONE MONSTER PICKER, or, just has ALL KINDS of money, and don't know what to buy with it, so you decided, WHY NOT AN EMMONS WITH EVERYTHING.....KEWELL(cool)
I custom built mine when I worked at Emmons, and I guess I could have went all out, but I figured that 3 floors and 6 knees was enough for my lifetime. Hope to hear you 'pick-a-winner' someday. And a BIG WELCOME to the forum. Stick around,Jack, you will have a ball. Oh, and by the way, watch for Ol' Dr.Bobby Sezzmore,he is a class act. If your having a bad day, tune in, watch, and listen. It won't be long, you will forget your troubles, after you read some of Ol'Dr. Bobbys posts.....LOL [This message was edited by RON PRESTON on 23 August 2001 at 10:40 PM.] |

Well welcome aboard Jack.
Really enjoyed you and Carole coming to the club the other night in Toccoa.
Remember, I'll be back there on Sept. 8, so pack that Emmons up and come on down. Oh yes, and bring Carole. I know we will find a song that we all know.
Give me a hollar whenever you can.

WOW,
I woke up this morning, and what did I see, but a bunch of responses lookin' back at me!
This is great-you guys know how to make a fellow steeler feel right at home. It sounds like at least one of ya has been to Toccoa to this big ole waterfall, and another lives in Alaska near my guitar pickin' brother. Thanks guys! |
