Do any of you know whether Pure Prairie League is touring with a steel player? If so, who is he? |

Chad,
Pure Praire League played a show (which was free to the public), a few weeks ago , near Akron Ohio. They indeed had a pedal steel player who doubled on fiddle. I don't know his name but he did a great job on both. |

Last I heard Fats Kaplan was playing that gig.
Skinny guy with impecable taste in clothing and facial hair. He is also a great accordian, dobro, lapsteel (Byrd style),mandolin, harp, banjo and who knows what else by now player. He lives in Nashville.

Chad,
Try this link
I believe the consensus was that he is no longer a full time musician and he lives in Ohio.
