In the late 50's I made several trips to Nashville with a fellow musician Ray Hutchins, who was a friend of Walter. When we visited we stayed with Walter and went with him to the Opry and got to stay back stage. That was a real highlight for a young
musician and I have always told people that Walter was the best...
By the way Walter is also a great Fiddle player...
