These babies aren' cheap these days. I got a new one, with legs , cherry wood finish, about 4 months ago, #0003, and I paid over 1600.00. I think now they are being built by one guy, Tom Baker, maybe that's why the price doubled. Anyone know? Still 800.00 for an "older" version I think is a good price.

In 1999, I bought an 8 string Sierra with case at the ISGC from Don Christensen (sp?) and they were $1000.00 at the time without legs.

I recall seeing them in Musician's Friend with legs for near $1200.00. That was for the standard black. Cherry or mahogany was more as was the 5 tone pick up.

The Sierra, the Harmos, and the new MSA all seem to be in a close price bracket.

If someone is in the market for a high quality 8 stringer, I would say to jump on this. This would have already been gone if I didn't have an 8 & a 12.

There's also one for sale on the forum, with a true tone pick up. Reasonable price too.

Should I? Naw. One a day is enough. Sure glag it's not a cherry finish or I'd have a serious problem. Sounds like a cool deal. Truetone makes a fine pickup.

Thanks Howard, I just posted this for sale today, I think I've figured out how to send pics by e-mail. I'd love to see a Forum Member have this.

You'll love it, Loni. Mine is the best sounding steel guitar I've ever played.

Mine is my first real quality instrument, I still feel like I have to "play up" to deserve to sit behind it. If I'd have had the money you'd have been bidding on air...
