As a Single Act on the Hudson River at a Yacht Club in Buchanan NY..paid me 300 dollars for a four hour gig..but did a job the same afternoon for 150 from 1pm till 5pm, drove 2hrs set up did the big job,tore down loaded up ..drove home got home at 5Am...was back on stage at 1pm the next day...making the Sat total of 450 dollars...

Although I've had several $500 -$600 NYE gigs, usually 3 or 4 hours, my best rate was a gig with the late Jimmy Davis for the Special Olympics. One 3 minute song (You Are My Sunshine) of course and was paid $50. Comes out to $1000 per hour. Sure could use some longer gigs at that rate.

9 min work on Alicia Elliots MCA X-Mas release last year...16 min incl setup & teardown time, (I travel light).Total 12 bars of music...most of the time was spent plugging in & tuning up....Double Master scale.... nice work when you can get it |
