Do you have a basket case laying around with a good pickup/cover plate? I hate to rob a "player" to fix mine up. This can be from any Supro with the large rectangular coverplate and "end mount" magnets. I have a near-perfect Supro Comet except for the rusty water (beer?) damaged plate and pickup.

Thanks!

If you find two I would like one as well. I made one out of steel that works very well but doesn't have the "donk" I need for the percussive sound of slapping the plastic.

I found this cover plate in the pocket of a BD Rick case that I bought last year, definitly not from a Rick.
I have no idea what it belongs to, maybe your guitar... did you by any chance buy a guitar from Uncle John's Music last year that he helped sell for a friends widow?
It measures 5 7/8" x 2 7/8". Short side the screw holes measure 2 1/2" to center, long side is 5 3/8" to center. Unfortunately the top screw hole is broken on one side. On the same side there is a cut-out for a knob or something.
If you need it let me know.

Gary, thanks but that is not what I'm after. Mabey I should have said "pick guard". The pickup is built on, or part of the rectangular stainless plate with volume and tone controls...thats what I'm after.
