FYI, Bill Hardin of Bear Creek Guitars is making a limited edition of ten 10th anniversary Weissenborn-style guitars. We expect an orderly G.A.S. atack; don't all grab for your wallets at once.

I am very much looking forward to my Bear Creek AC guitar. After reading your comments about Bill Hardin,it seems like I am going to own a real work of art. BTW, I really enjoy your "Lap Steel Guitar" book. |

Many thanks, the book was a labor of love.
I've owned a Bear Creek hollowneck since '97 and I've been very happy with the instrument. Mine was the first MK with wooden binding instead of plastic and I've noticed that other folks have followed suit in ordering this option. Bill builds a nice ax; what it gives up in the glassy transparancy of the originals it more than makes up for in deep, rich tone, power and stability. At least that's how I see it. |
