Speaking of home shopping..
I'm am very seriously in the market for a stringmaster.
I would prefer a D8 but am interested in single or double anything.
Is envy a sin? Your pictures are making me a little jealous
Thanks! |

Funny, I always thought those things were ashtrays. I don't smoke so I never bothered to check. |

I play a 26" scale triple Stringmaster. I like the tone better than the later 22&1/2" and 24&1/2" scales; but, I wish it had the pickup blend control on each neck, like the later models.
My tunings are C-6th, B-11th and C#m-9th. I change the guitar tone control to get the best sound when switching necks (tunings).
I understand that in adding a blend control to my guitar, location of the control would be a problem.
...anyone ever attempt to add these controls and alter the wiring to the 26" scale? |

I always wondered who bought the one I sold to Gruhn back around 82-83. The T8 butterscotch in a black case was sweet.
Here's a pic from just a few years back. I swear!

Rick - that's a great animation. The original stills are from the ebay auction where I bought that '55 D8.
Ever see the cartoon "One Froggy Evening"?
That guitar talks and sings all the time except when somebody is watching.
