I have a 1937 Epi Model M 8 string and this name is scratched inside the control cavity.
I bought the steel up in B.C a few years back. Could have come from anywhere, as the former owner's father was quite a lap steel collecter who used to attend the conventions.
I opened it to spray the volume pots and noticed the name. Ring a bell with anyone?

I have emailed Ms. Sorrels, so I hope to get a response at some time. In the meantime I have been searching on the web.
The only thing remotely related is the "Sorrells Twins" from the Fort Worth area. Any info on them around?

No answer yet. I am going to try posting under Steel Players. OK to close this thread up if desired..
