How can I get Firefox to show ASCII character set beyond 127? It defaults to an ugly question mark for all of them.

The Forum uses the Verdana font from Microsoft. Unicode characters show up fine in Firefox:

Hmm, today I can see €, but last week it was that other character.

Older font files don't have the € character. It's a recent addition, from when the European currency changed to the Euro (2002?).
