Jody,
When exactly did Fender stop using Swamp Ash for Stringmasters and start using the "cheaper" ash? Is it fairly accurate to say 50s made guitars are Swamp Ash and 60s made guitars are not? Which would a walnut finish 24 1/2" T8 dated 10-60 be made of? Inquiring minds want to know
Also, what kind of wood would a '51 butterscotch finish Custom Pro T8 be made of?

I cant give you a definite answer,but to my knowledge Fender stopped using swamp ash about 1952,Then went on to regular ash.
I'm not certain but I think thats about the time frame. |
