I have tried one in the store, but not on a gig. I found it to be a nice amp with good tone, and quite a good price. If I were in the market for such an animal I would compare it to the Roland Cube series before I put my money down. I think the Roland might have a little richer tone. My impression of the Ultrasound was that it was a nice amp but very "clinical" and devoid of any sound coloration. If this is what you seek it might be just the thing for you. People that have them that I have talked to really like them.
Personally I like an amp with a little more character to it, but each person's taste is their own. I recall that the features on the Ultrasonic were absolutely great for acoustic guitar. Didn't they have a special EQ or special input or something for piezo pickups?
Maybe somebody that actually owns one should add some facts to my recollections. Have you checked http://www.harmonycentral.com ? There might be some information on there.
