I am working on an instrumental version of Roy Druskey's "Anymore" and need a good balanced 4/4 style, not the jerky stuff in the styles that come from PG - anyone got one that they would share with me please?
I can send an mp3 of the original song if needed.
Thanks

Do you have BIAB? There are a lot to choose from that would work out for you, I'm sure.

The closest that you will come to that sound with the walking bass is in a shuffle like the one on Style Set 7 C_LSHUFF.STY and even then you will have to modify it. You can hear a short demo of it if you go to the PGmusic site and click on the style sets.
Other than that you will have to make your own.

Colin,
There’s 2 great shuffle styles that many use. They are not BIAB files, but you can use them by placing them in the BB directory and calling them up in your favorites Block. They are : C_RPRICE and C_price8. If you would like them, Email me and I will send the styles in an attachment with instructions.

Ya know... It would be very cool, and much appreciated by our little PSG community if someone would host a site containing BIAB styles which are more commonly sought after by fools like us. Just a thought.Best, -Dave

Oliver Gannon writes the styles for Biab, and he's a world class jazz guitarist. He was up for jazz guitar player of the year in Canada last year. I think he misses it sometimes on the country styles, but if you tell him what you need in the PGMusic forum wish list, he reads all posts and will research and make what you want. Also, Bob Norton makes and sells aftermarket styles, as does Finetuned music. Sorry I don't have the urls but a search will find them. I'm not endorsing them, just passing information. |
