I'm hoping that here at "NO PEDDLERS" most of you know Leonard T. Zinn.
He will turn 80 years of age on December 27th.
As he does not have his computer on line and receives his email here, I'm asking that you will post Birthday Greetings to him.
I'm giving him a suprise birthday party to be held at our church on that day/evening. and I would love to print and show him all of your good wishes.
If you wish to send an actual card email me and I'll send you my address.
If anyone of you wishes to attend, again, email me and I'll fill you in.
We will have some entertainment that evening.

80?? 60 is more like it! I met you at the Honolulu HSGA 2003 convention...we walked from the convention hotel up to the Halekalani one night, and I have to tell everyone, I had trouble keeping up the pace (and I'm 33). It was a highlight of my trip to get to meet and chat with you. Your stories always put a smile on my face, and your sweet steel guitar playing is divine! It was a real pleasure and honor to meet you and be able to share the stage with you in the Hawaiian Room at the convention this year.
Evelyn said you will be 80 -- but you don't look a day over 79.
All joking aside, though, you can out play me and I'm sure you could outrun me.

I've never heard you play; but hope to in the future.
I just purchased five sets of the L.T. Zinn strings from the forum shopping (strings) section. I love the sound.
Evelyn, I have relatives living in Muskegon and have been there many times. It's a nice summer place.

Happy Birthday...L.T.
I first met you in Knoxville several years back at a pedal steel show. The pedal musicians get into some pretty heavy and complicated jazz...and you never missed a lick on that big blonde guitar. You rate with the very best rythm guitarists I've ever heard...and I used play hookey from school to go watch Homer of Homer and Jethro fame...a world class rythm guitarist, as you know. But you, sir, take a back seat to no one.
I had my grandson with me at the time who was a beginning guitar student. In a break you let him strum your guitar...and made him feel ten feet tall...just a lad of about 17. He has gone on to become a fairly accomplished guitarist in his own right...after flying mid-air refueling missions over Afghanistan and Baghdad...and now pursuing his college education.
Then on Sunday morning you were instrumental in providing some great hymns and sacred music on that big MSA...and gave a very clear witness of your faith. You really made it worth our while to drive about 400 miles to the show.
You are a class act...and have blessed many lives with your character, exemplary life, as well as your great music. HAPPY BIRTHDAY...AND KEEP THAT PICK HOT!!

It was a real pleasure meeting you at the HSGA convention this year, and was also a great joy when you played rythym for me when I was playing" Cold, Cold Heart", out in the lobby Friday night.
I too, used to listen to you every Sat., when you were on the radio with the 101 Ranch Boys. Never missed it!
You told me that we have to get together some time, and maybe that will happen next year when I visit my daughter in Michigan. I hope we can.

You haole guys might have to look it up in the H-dictionary -- this was a Hawaiian name that we gave LT in Winchester because someone asked him what LT stands for and he very proudly said "Lots of Trouble", which he has lived up to. Anyway, LT, "HAVE A VERY HAPPY 8Oth B-Day". Like they say, you can't keep the "ENERGIZER BUNNY" down because it keeps going and going and going and going .........> Some of you Forumites may not have seen LT in his pink bunny suit and beating on a bass drum.
On a serious note LT, you play a very sweet steel guitar both Country and Hawaiian and you are always available for rhythm backup as well as sharing your musical knowledge with anyone who asks you - ie, your various seminars in Winchester and Joliet, etc.
I hope we are around for your 90th and 100th. Enjoy the Day !!
