Anyone know of a freeware that would let me change, in one fell swoop, all the file name extensions in a given directory. For instance all .xxx files to .yyy

Yep, DOS (or cmd.exe) will do it easy and it's already on your PC.  Open a Command Prompt, CD to the directory, and type "ren *.xxx *.yyy" without the quotes and hit Enter.  |
