I've been trying (through various programs) to save pictures to thumbnail size, but then being able to paste them into a letter or brochure without distorting that picture that's being pasted, which has been the case. Whenever I shrink it, say in the Paint program, it doesn't keep it's clarity (it gets blurry, etc.)
Can anybody help me on this? |

Try a different program than Paint...I am running two programs that came with my digital cam...Camedia and Adobe Photo Deluxe
You can shrink and save thumbnails with out putting them out of prospective...hope this helps...Bill in Vegas |

Mark,
You'll be better off with a dedicated program to produce thumbnails. There are several free or shareware products available. On the Mac, try Thumbnailer. On the PC, try ACDSee Classic. If you need batch processing, try ACDSee 3.1, which includes a bare-bones photo editor.
The Classic version is free. Version 3.1 is about $50 but is available in a fully functional 30-day tril version you can download from the above link.
There is also a Thumbnailer for Windows which is shareware ($25). It does batch processing and some image correction.
Here's a list of other popular programs with links to download them. |

I just bought "Publisher" from Microsoft, and have been putting my thumbnails into it, and it works very well. A little more expensive of a program, but it's very easy to work with, and you can make some very professional looking flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc.
Plus there was a $30 rebate with it, so the final cost was around $80. |
