Mike ......
I understand your above post is offered in jest, but there are such offerings out there. Just check your local trade mag for details.
I am aware of these Companys. They INSIST that you send them your ORIGINAL software for them to work on. Now, at about XX Megabucks per package, would you chance your only copy of this software in the mail, fedex,UPS,etc, etc ??
I understand what they do, but the thing they do is simply a means to steal !!
Also, often the cost of their services approches near the cost of the original software. Boy, you had better want it bad to go this route. Their hit rate isn't near anywhere what they would have you believe either.[This message was edited by Bill Crook on 02 February 2001 at 03:49 PM.] |

I was wondering about that myself. Didn't sound completely bogus to me at first glance, but I didn't know what to make of it....
...He says, whilst staring into the face of one dongle that I brought home from work, so that I could get a couple of things done at home this weekend...sheesh! |

No scam b0b....
It can be done on some of the lesser dongles, but the really encriped ones,,,,
Well, I wouldn't waste my time trying.
There is a (new) method nowadays,,,,, (dongles) that uses the CompactFlash cards, These devices are set up with a security code (I won't go into details here)that make the printerport dongles a thing of the past !! No tangle of stuff hung out the back of the computer. much better for everybody. Low cost, more secure, dosen't interfere with printer-port options or other software operations.

You Don't .....
You cain't tell by just lookin' at the device. A good rule is "If it was made within the last 4-5 years" it's a no go !!
Please just send ME the money you would send to the Company that offers the "Crack" I will accept the money and give you the results you should expect from them. ( Nothing)
