Hi Group:

I just bought a used HP Pavilion 8250 PC and I noticed that the Icons on the Desktop appear to have their color reversed. It's almost like looking at a color negative.

The rest of the desktop appears normal as do Icons in the lower tray of the screen.

Do any of you steel guitar computer mavins have any suggestions for me on this problem?

I look forward to your suggestions.

Regards.....

Have you checked the HP support site to see if there is anything on this?? That's the first place to start. There's nothing I can think of in a WIN setup that would cause this.

It could be the video driver. While your at the HP support site, check and see if there is an updated video driver for this machine. If there isn't any updated video driver, download whatever driver they have for that model and reinstall it.

I suspect there's more video problems than just the desktop icons appearing reversed.

Hi Jack Stoner:

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll get right on it after work today.

The rest of the video (color and all) appears to work fine in the computer....just the Desktop Icons!
