Just got one the other day & it sounds terrific.
Available in 4 or 8 ohm and handle up to 200 watts. They're also super light weight!

They also have two 15" models but only at 8 ohm.

Thats what Fender is using in their Jazzmaster Ultralight cabinets, except they have them specially made in 2 ohm impedance. I use my Jazzmaster with a steel some, and it has a great sound IMHO. The Jazzmaster head weighs about 8 lbs, and the cabinet weighs about 16 lbs. Small and lightweight, exactly what us aging codgers need.

Supply for a bit over $80.

Jay.. glad you like the speaker.. I also would like to know "what you are hearing"... Is it like a JBL sound or more like a vintage Jensen or something????..
Both wonderful tones of course but very different..
I recently bought a new Emminence 15 Commonwealth based on the "JBL D 130 clone" thing I heard a few guys say,and it sounded AWFUL to me.. not even close to a D 130.. I am a little gunshy now I suppose.. anyway.. how would you describe the sound to your ears??? a vintage tone? modern? warm? .clean?...what? bob |

"Emminence 15 Commonwealth" - I agree. The only thing in common with a 15" JBL is the size. My favorite is still the Weber Clifornia with paper dust cap to soften the harsh JBL highs, but as I recall the stock model is a 100-watt speaker. I think Ted makes higher wattage versions, but I could be mistaken.
I'd have to hear the Jensen to believe it. Their guitar speakers are nothing like the classic Jensens...different design, different sound...really a different company that just bought the Jensen name. |

To be honest, it's tough to compare them to one
speaker or another. If it sounds good in general without dramatically altering the amp's EQ, then that's a positive for me. Excellent low end, plenty of highs, and no "mud in the middle". |

Jay, have you played it out with a band yet? I bought one to evaluate and I thought it broke up way too soon and the upper mids were pretty "cardboard" sounding. I can see using it as a six string or lap steel speaker... maybe in a Princeton or similar type amp.

Well, in fact, I have jensen Neo 15"/150W in Marrs cabinet and it sounds fine to me.
I have another Marrs with JBL D-130 @4ohm, and they are played in parallel. If you pay very close attention, JBL may seem to have smidge more of that "metalic" tingle, but to my ear, Jensen Neo is very, very acceptable. And it's rediculously light. On the other hand, I didn't care for Emminence Deltalite. |

| I guess i just don't like stamped frame transducers...i have used BW's and JBL's all my musical life and trust them. I have a stamped frame blue marvel speaker in my peavey "Baby Nashville"..i have heard it growl at low volumes on my 8th pedal, of course Mike Brown told me it would do that, but i bought it anyway... I guess i like the sound and the peace of mind of a cast frame speaker....old school i guess. |

I don't think that it's old school as much as it's the fact that you are use to high quality speakers that can handle a bit of abuse without breaking up ..... You're gonna pay now , or pay later ...Either way, if you want a good speaker , you're gonna have to pay for it .... Funny how back in the day we were looking for the next great amp to come along ....Now we have come full circle, and we're looking for the old amps that we use to play thru !!..  ....Sincerely, Jim |
