As I'm getting older and not playing out as much as I would like to, I would like to play as often as I could. Thought about using cd's such as music minus1 etc. but don't have a clue as to what would be a good playback system to use and one that would really make you feel you are part of the band. Your reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

Art,
I am a real believer in BIAB. I have used it for several years, both for practice purposes and for playing out. I have a separate rack system just for BIAB playback. Mine is pretty fancy and elaborate with an Alesis Data Disk for reading MIDI signals from BIAB, Edirol sound card, preamp, amp and a pair of 15" Peavey speaker enclosures. You can get by with a lot less, though, that's for sure.
