I was wondering,,,if the battery in a Profex or a Transtubefex has gone bad ,,can one remove them & run off the cash cards untill a new battery is installed & would the cash cards loose any pre-set settings.
The reason I ask is, Im going to have Ken Fox replace the batteries in my units but I will need to use one while the other is away being repaired & dont want to chance any battery leakage damage & both have very old batteries,,thanks.

You will need to re-initialize on each power up. Press and hold the PLAY and GLOBAL buttons on power up. That will load factory presets into the memory chip.

You can then insert the card and run off of it from the "C" bank.

The memory battery keeps the user settings in
the old style memory chip during power down. Without the battery the unit would come up scrambled, unless you re-initialize on each power up.
