I have been looking at some Fenders recently in a music shop - two different models. One of these is an all-metal body guitar. I neglected to make note of the actual model numbers. Any thoughts or advice on these?

About 2 years ago I bought a Fender Resonator, wood body with the "f" sound holes.
I ended up putting in a Quarterman cone purchased from Resophonic Outfitters and it transformed the instrument. I play it as a standard guitar and it is awesome!
Volume with great deep tone.

Thanx for the input. I had a Dobro back in the mid-70's .. but, I let it get away. I have been playing pedal steel for a number of years now -- however, there have been several gigs recently where the Dobro would have been more appropriate. I'm going to try-out the Fender this weekend in earnest. Thanx again.
