Just an added note...

He agreed to sell me just the guitar, but want to find out more if anyone has or had a Gulan. It says in the description that it stopped working last year. Could be just a broken connection or require a PU rewind. What's it worth? Thanks again, Ron

I did some checking and it was made by Harmony. That's all I found.

I haven't seen that type of lap steel before, but it definitely looks like a Harmony pickup/tone control plate.
