I've been having a wierd problem with the legs on my Fender and Carvin guitars. If they're not completely tight in the sockets, they vibrate sympathetically with the guitar. This makes a wobbly sound. I can tighten the legs, but it only takes a minute and they are loose again. Ideas, anyone? |

Hi Dan,
Try going to the hardware store and get the rubber washers that go in the end of a rubber hose connection. Slip that over the end of you legs then tighten them and that should take care of it.
Good luck,

It seems like a thin brass washer would be a better solution. |

Also from the hardware store, try rubber O-rings similar to those found in faucets, but of course large enough to slip over the leg-threads and up against the end of the leg. Probably with todays leg-threads you would use a 1/2” dia. O-rings. With the older/larger threads probably 3/4” O-rings. The brass washer also sounds like a good idea! Or have the threads brazed and re-threaded and maybe even the sockets!
