Are these pedals similar to the Hilton? Do you have to plug them in to?

You do have to plug them in and they are pot-less/string-less like the Hilton. I know nothing about the electronics involved although I do know that they have a built in impedence matching transformer and have a number of nice features that make the LDR a terrific volume pedal.

I have 2 of them and they are top notch.
Jerry the plug goes in the back, but there is a little retaining loop attached which stops it from falling, or being pulled out. And it doesn't interfere with the travel of the pedal if that was your concern !

My LDR2 has the power input on the same side as the input/output jacks.

Paddy & Richard, thanks, I appreciate the information. It looks as though the later production LDR2's have the power supply imput on the same side as the regular 1/4" imput & output jacks and that's good.

I also have one, and like it very much.

But for now I prefer the POT Pedal (120) for gigs..less wires..

But I do use it on my home rig for daily practice..

nice pedal, smooth quiet..hi quality...

Just got my LDR2 in last week and to me it sounds and works much better than my Hilton. I strongly recommend test driving one of these expensive puppies before buying one, if possible. There is definitely a lot of differences in these two pedals. But if you liked the Goodrich pot pedal, you will really like the LDR2.

John there doesn't appear to be - I have both and the older one I have has a din-type plug in place of a 2nd 1/4" output jack which was apparently used for a direct hookup to the amp providing power to the pedal. The later model LDR2 has 2 1/4" output jacks - but I don't notice any appreciable difference in tone between the 2.
