Are these pedals similar to the Hilton? Do you have to plug them in to?

| You do have to plug them in and they are pot-less/string-less like the Hilton. I know nothing about the electronics involved although I do know that they have a built in impedence matching transformer and have a number of nice features that make the LDR a terrific volume pedal. |

I have 2 of them and they are top notch.
Jerry the plug goes in the back, but there is a little retaining loop attached which stops it from falling, or being pulled out. And it doesn't interfere with the travel of the pedal if that was your concern !

| Paddy & Richard, thanks, I appreciate the information. It looks as though the later production LDR2's have the power supply imput on the same side as the regular 1/4" imput & output jacks and that's good. |

I also have one, and like it very much.
But for now I prefer the POT Pedal (120) for gigs..less wires..
But I do use it on my home rig for daily practice..
nice pedal, smooth quiet..hi quality...

| Just got my LDR2 in last week and to me it sounds and works much better than my Hilton. I strongly recommend test driving one of these expensive puppies before buying one, if possible. There is definitely a lot of differences in these two pedals. But if you liked the Goodrich pot pedal, you will really like the LDR2. |

John there doesn't appear to be - I have both and the older one I have has a din-type plug in place of a 2nd 1/4" output jack which was apparently used for a direct hookup to the amp providing power to the pedal. The later model LDR2 has 2 1/4" output jacks - but I don't notice any appreciable difference in tone between the 2.
