Just received my new Nashville 112 from Bobbe. This now makes two so I can make twice the noise. Great product, great tone, great service, half the weight. Thanks Mike and the folks at Peavey.

guys, I just orderd my 2nd 112 also, and I plan on playin through both amps also. I think I know how to hook the two amps together, but I'm also goin to be running my CD back-up tracks through both amps. I have no idea how to hook all this stuff up. I'll have my Cd player, my mixer, and my 2 amps-----Can somebody draw me a picture on how to hook all this stuff up please? I'd appreciate any help I can get on this.

There are a number of methods to connect your equipment. Here's one of the most basic.
With all equipment turned OFF:
1) Set all of the knobs on both amps straight up except the reverb, leave it off for now.
2) Connect the mixer’s Main/left output of the mixer to the first 112.
3) Connect the mixer’s Main/right output of the mixer to the 2nd 112.
4) Connect the left output of the cd player into channel #1 of the mixer and pan that channel to full left.
5) Connect the right output of the cd player to channel #2 of the mixer and pan that channel to full right.
6) Connect the instrument of your choice (guitar, steel, bagpipes, etc) to channel #3 and pan that channel straight up.
7) With the mixer volumes all set to off, turn on the cd player , the steel guitar, the mixer, and the amplifiers, in that order.
Cool Turn both channels #1 and #2 up to set the volume of the cd player.
9) Turn up channel three to set the volume of the steel.

This set-up allows the music to be in stereo, and your steel signal is capable of being used as a stereo feed also by panning channel #3 to left, and an input to channel #4 panned to the right.
A disadvantage with this configuration is that the reverb used for the steel will also be on the cd tracks, however, once you are comfortable with the signal path set-up you can start fine-tuning the tonal settings and effects. Keep the two amp’s settings identical to each other for the best stereo reproduction. I personally would start by plugging my steel into one amp, find the tone and volume I like, then duplicate those settings on the 2nd amp, set all the mixer’s tone controls to “flat” and fine turn each of the mixer’s channels to taste. There will always be compromise no matter which signal path you use.

Use the mixer to eq the cd music, if it's a decent mixer and pad/headroom is set correctly, the steel should sound about like it did when you plugged straight into the amp.

I think...............................

Thanks Steve. I also have a Lexicon 110 effects, will I leave it hooked to the pre EQ patch of one amp?

I would connect the effects to the mixer's effects send/returns. Connect in stereo if possible, which will take two effects send/return channels, and again one return panned left, the other return panned right. You could keep the effects on the steel channel only, which I believe would be advantageous. The two amps need to function with as identical of settings as possible for a true stereo system.

If you don't have two efects/cue systems available you can use one effects send to the lexicon and return the outputs to two of the mixer's inputs, one panned left and one panned right...just DO NOT use the efects/cue sends on those two channels!! Result would be nasty feedback.

Rick, it sounds like 2 112's back there just kicking b---.

Amp1, preamp out to Amp2 power amp in. Plug my guitar into Amp1. this give you one set of tone controls and two volumes.

It sure is fun playing two amps without breaking the bank acct. or your back.
