I'm would like to sell my Tut Taylor mahogany square neck dobro in near mint condition and was wondering what the fair market value would be. It's the best sounding dobro I've ever owned but I never play it any more, and it's sale will help pay for the lapsteels I bought yesterday by mistake.I just wanted to have a look but couldn't help myself. How could I say no to a ricky and a 7 string National New Yorker in mint condition?
Thanks / Bill |

Bill-I seem to recall that a year or two ago the basic mahogany model (I believe the Tennessee model)could be had on Ebay for $1100-$1200 new-The all maple Virginia model was around $1300 to $1400 and my mahogany spruce top Carolina model was $1600-$1700 They may have gone up since last I priced them |

Dont know what to tell you Bill, but if it sounds anything like my Tut Taylor
"Virgianin" your gonna be sorry real soon after you sell it! I agree these reso's are
some of the prettiest and best sounding reso's I have ever seen or heard. Try and find another way to pay for your nw purches.
Just sit down and play her again for a few moments when your all alone and Ill bet you change your mind!...Good luck. |
