Some of you may remember my posting about the effects loop problem with my Fender Steel King amp a few weeks ago:
http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum11/HTML/008416.html
Well, I'm very happy to tell you that the amp was repaired for me under warranty by Fender Corp. with the help of Sam Marshall, Principal Engineer. He and John Kinney, in Customer Relations really went to bat for me. As it turned out, both the preamp circuit board and the footswitch had to be replaced, so that would have been pretty expensive for me to contend with.
I also want to mention that now that I've had a chance to play through the amp on the bandstand, I'm very pleased with how very well it performs. It's very easy to work with and that "Fender Tone" is just hard to beat! I think it sounds awesome with my Emmons guitar.
Many thanks to everyone of you forum members that contacted me with words of advise, and of course to the Fender Musical Instrument Corporation.
Lynn
