Was playing yesterday afternoon (rehearsal with band) My profex one decided to crash on me. Keeps coming up with DSP interface error and says it is going to reset itself. When it does it still comes back to the DSP error.

HOLD THE PLAY AND MIDI KEYS THEN POWER ON! This is the reset procedure. If that works, get rid of the battery and put in a battery-less mod chip! If it still has issues, you need to send it to Peavey for repair for sure.

Ken thanks. I just tried this and it came back up. Now I need to find a batteryless mod for a Profex 1. I am hoping this stays with me because it is the only decent preamp and effects unit I have at the time. Now back to reprogramming LOL.
Thanks

Douglas, just a suggestion: Have Ken Fox put the chip in to go batteryless and also have him restore the settings you want if they are Jeff Newman's. Ken is the consumate professional; he's worked on several of my Peavey units and they always worked perfectly. He is very reasonable too pricewise. steve t

I have arranged to have the unit sent to Ken next week for a chip placement. I have been able to reinitialize the unit and seems to be working and remembering what I have programmed into it. I have a gig this weekend so I am going to use it. If it does it again, during the gig I have a pod 2.0 as back up.
Thanks everyone!
