There is a shootout camparing delay units in this months GP magazine. The article gives you some insight as to "what application" you are using the delay for and what "type of sound or feel" you want. Do you like tape emulation, analog or digital? Do you need a basic slap back 3 knob unit with up to 500 ms or do you want a swiss army knife unit that has all the bells and whistles and at what price.

I listened to the reverb demos on the Line6 website and was completely blown away,- this is "studio quality" reverb (well, depends on what you compare with..).
Too bad my bank account is empty and my pedalboard is full.......

It has some very nice spring reverbs, 63 fender, and studio reverb for a couple.
I went back to stomp boxes after using rack mounts for about 8 yrs. and thought i would try one of these, i like it so far but i geuss time will tell. Atleast i'm down to a seat, 2 amps , and guitar |

I heard Dan Tyack using the L6 Echo Park, and it sounded great.
As much as I love Reverb, I'm forcing myself to use Deley only for gigging lately, as it allows the steel to maintain clarity all the way to the back of the room better than a reverb effect.

I would assume the Line 6 reverb pedal would use the same technology that's in my PODxt.
That thing has an incredible selection of quality reverbs. Various springs, plates, rooms etc. Pretty amazing stuff!

I just "rented" a Line 6 Verbzilla from Guitar Center last night, have my first fly gig with Freddy Fender this weekend, and want to ensure some sweetness in my tone since the venue provides who-knows-what amp...might not even have reverb, aargh!
I tested it, Boss RV-5 and Electro Harmonix Holy Grail in-store: HG was good, but got hissy when turning up the verb much past noon on its dial; very few options on it, either. RV-5 sounded good, but the Verbzilla sounded better, had more options, even including an echo setting that the manual claims has delay plus reverb. The kid salesman preferred it highly, for what that was worth, ha.
I'll let y'all know more when I've had time to test it out. Got it for $120, and they sold the Line 6 wallwart to me for $8, since I was balky about buying yet another one of those.

The Line 6 Verbzilla is a great sounding/performing stompbox. But I returned it and bought a Pod XT in order to have way more effects and sounds. And the Verbzilla I bet weighed more than the Pod XT, built like a brick and weighs like one, too. If all you need is great reverb, this is a great unit.
