Is this an OK delay for use with steel? If not, what is better and why? I am trying to educate myself here, not start a debate. I am playing a GFI through a 112 with a Hilton pedal and have decided the Profex II is more stuff than I need right now....Thanks...James

I have used the DD3 for over 20 years. If I am correct, I think they have 16 bit technology. There are other units out there with 24 bit technology that have a slightly cleaner sound, but the DD3 is fine for bandstand work in my opinion.

The DD3 is cool. I use the DD6---It's got more features on it--(that I'll never use!!) HA!

I'm allot like you--a little reverb and delay. I couldn't see packing around 200 extra presets/effects that I'm never gonna use. I've had the Tubefex, ProfexII, Transtubefex, and they are the best, but way overkill for me .

DD3/amp reverb for me most of the time on my Webb. I got a Lexicon MPX 100 a couple months ago, and it's a wonderful machine, but I ended up using it on my guitar most of the time and going back to the DD3/spring. Can't mess with success, and I'll bet a pretty high percentage of forumites use that same combo.

I use the DD3 through a NV 400 with the amps reverb and it puts out a great sound.
Its small and easy to set up and use.

I picked up a DD-3 here on the forum a few months ago, and use it live all the time with my Sho-Bud and Twin.

Yep, can't beat the BOSS DD 3. I think Buddy uses one quite a bit.
