I am running a session 400 wedge into the P.A.board thru a XLR cable a few times during the night a high pitched squeal"feedback?"sound starts,if I switch the ground on the amp it goes away but soon returns,This only seems to happen for a few minutes, then it's good for the rest of the night.Where I'm playing is in a very old farming town,I was wondering if it is the voltage,I have checked all of my guitar chords, and such???

It could be the reverb tank feeding back. I had a Vegas that I had to leave the reverb off and use a rack reverb.

Just a thought...

Sounds as if it might be a grounding problem, whether in the cable or the amp.

Mike:That's kind off what I thought, but I don't enough about this stuff. What I do know is that where I'm playing "Palmer Alaska"is very rural and I assume that the voltage gets very low,and I think that the ground seems to change on it's own? Thanks Mike, take care,Stu
